Thai and English publications:


Processing of the Library Materials

An international standard has been used for cataloguing and classification of the Library materials.

The Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, 2nd edition (AACR 2) is used for cataloguing the Library publications

The Library of Congress Classification (L.C. Classification) is used for English and Thai books and L.C. Subject Headings are used for English books. Thai Subject Headings are assigned for Thai publications.

The type of publications with * and audio-visual materials are classified by the Library’s own system.

The classified publications are shelved by classification number of the L.C. Classification otherwise by the Library’s own system.

Journals are shelved by titles. Current issues and back issues are on separate shelves.
