HRH Princess Chulabhorn visited the Federal Republic of Germany (13-17 October 2009)

Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn, President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute, visited the Federal Republic of Germany during 13 to 17 October 2009.

Her Royal Highness was invited by Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Lutz F. Tietze, President of the German Chemical Society and former Director of the Institute of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry Society of Georg-August Göttingen University, on the occasion of the presentation of the prestigious Windaus Award to Her Royal Highness.

The Award was for her role as an outstanding scientist who played a very crucial role in the development of Chemistry Science in Thailand. After the presentation, Her Royal Highness joined in the celebration of the centennial anniversary of the Adolf-Windaus-Gedächtnis Lecture by giving a special lecture entitled “Drug Discovery Research : A Journey of a Thai Scientist”.
