The Library was established in January 1996 as a special library to collect publications in the field of science and technology. The Library provides services for CRI staff members and researchers as well as outside users.
In the year 1999, CRI began the joint educational program with the Faculty of Science of Mahidol University and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The interuniversity post-graduate program (M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels) in Environmental Toxicology, Technology and Management is provided for international students.
In 2005, the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education for graduate level programs, and with the objective of carrying out Her Royal Highness’ vision for the development of qualified personnel for the nation and the region in the fields of Applied Biosciences (Environmental Health), Chemical Biology and Environmental Toxicology.
At present, the CRI Library renders services for post-graduate education and research works of CRI and also CGI during the period of the establishment of the CGI Library.
