Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn, President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute, visited the Republic of Italy from 22 to 26 October 2009.
Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn’s visit was on the occasion of being awarded Winner of the 2009 Ramazzini Award, a very prestigious scientific award, by the Collegium Ramazzini Committee, for Her Royal Highness’ outstanding achievement as an international scientist and researcher and for her continuing contributions to public health care.
After the Award presentation, Her Royal Highness gave a special lecture entitled “Cancer Risk from Exposure to Air Pollution” in Carpi, Italy, on 24 October 2009. She later joined the Collegium Ramazzini in their annual symposium on occupational and environmental medicine.
