  Internet-based Information Exchange Service:-
  ENVIRONMENTAL TOXICOLOGY

          The network aims to provide technical assistance, promote exchange of knowledge and information, and foster cooperation among participating countries through the establishment of an internet-based information exchange service, with linkages among the network partners, as well as to global sources of expertise.  To receive advice from international advisory group, official contact must be made through ICEIT, CRI.

  • International Register of Potentially Toxic Chemicals (IRPTC)-PC Database of the United Nations Environmental Programme : contains 17 data profiles (for more than 4000 chemicals) in terms of its production, uses, environmental fate, toxicological and ecotoxicological characteristics as well as risk management informations, also included the summary informations on national regulatory controls and international guidelines, conventions and directives concerning specific chemicals.  
  • The legal files of IRPTC Database is now availbale online via UNEP Chemical Homepage or directly via the Recommendations and Legal Mechanisms Search Page

 

  • ESCAP Database on Pesticides and the Environment - contains informations on various aspects of pesticides used in the Asean region (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand). This is provided in formed of database on pesticide commercial products, product registration information, national pesticide use recommendations and the address of handlers, distributors, government officers, etc. About 552 crops, 2380 pests, 1031 active ingredients, 7039 commercial products, and 12247 pesticide use recommendations are described.
