All personnel who work with chemicals or have risk to exposure to chemicals, for example:

• Student
• Scientist/Analyst/Researcher
• Cleaning personnel

• Before project start
• Before working in the laboratory
• Refresh annually

The Chemical Safety Sub-committee provides self training video for working safely with chemicals in laboratory. The video can be obtained from Safety Officer or respective Laboratory Safety Representative.

• The training can be done by principle investigator or senior staff.

• Training organized by safety committee
• Chemical safety training organized by other institution with certificate of attendance or training material

• For self training provided by safety committee, a person must perform a pre- and post-tests. A pass criteria is 60%.
